How You Can Help

Everyone’s welcome to volunteer through HealthShare! And there are a variety of ways to enter the volunteer program. If you belong to a local church, and that congregation is one of our Faith Partner churches, call your church office. You can apply by e-mailing your volunteer application through this website. Or you are welcome to stop by the HealthShare office to complete your application.

What is the Faith Partnership? The Faith Partnership is an advisory council consisting of representatives from participating organizations. Representatives attend monthly Faith Partnership meetings where they share advice and feedback critical to InterLink’s success.

What volunteer services are offered? Services include grocery shopping, light domestic chores, lawn and home maintenance, respite care, transportation to and from medical appointments, phone reassurance, bill paying, pet care, and patient advocacy.

How are volunteers paired with care recipients? The project coordinator searches for a suitable match of volunteer and care recipient from the pool of available volunteers. Matching takes into account the level of care needed, the volunteer’s skills and training, as well as the volunteer’s personal schedule. Once a volunteer accepts an assignment, arrangements are made for introductions.
