This book is a great addition to any library. It features sections on Health Problems, Self-Care Basics, Staying Healthy, and Men's & Women's Health. In each area you find basic advice and clear descriptions of when to call a doctor and when you might be able to care for a problem yourself. Produced by a large not-for-profit group of physicians, this is a wonderful book.

If a basic or family membership is more than you can afford, this membership gives you the same benefits, without the Healthwise Handbook (which will be available at local libraries and the HealthShare office). Qualification for the Affordability Membership is done on the honor system.

Supporting Membership $120/yr.
Includes the same benefits as Basic and Family memberships as well as a listing in each newsletter.
Sustaining Membership $240/yr.
Includes the same benefits as Basic and Family memberships as well as a Sustaining Membership listing in each newsletter.
Supporting and Sustaining Members help us serve people who can’t afford a basic membership.

This membership lets you get to know HealthShare. It has all the benefits of the Basic Membership except for the Healthwise Handbook and is only valid for the first 6 months. If you’re just not sure, or would like to try a membership, this is an easy, very low-cost way to get started.
